The objective of the SPARC program is to bridge the gap between students in SDSU's Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) Program and the San Diego area's industry professionals.

We have a relationship with the following associations in San Diego:

Meeting professionals Internations (MPI)

MPI San Diego has provided development and business opportunities for meeting professionals and vendors since 1979. It is the go-to resource for continuing education in the meetings industry. MPI San Diego is dedicated to personal and career successes through the connection of innovative learning, passionate people, and big ideas that empower agents of change.

National Association of Catering Executives (NACE)

NACE is the oldest and largest professional association that addresses all aspects of the catering industry, NACE is at the forefront of the issues that directly affect businesses. NACE's mission is to provide catering and event professionals superior education, networking, and resources to enhance career success and deliver excellence to its clients.

Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI)

HSMAI is a global organization of sales and marketing professionals with a strong focus on education. It has become the industry champion while operating as a leading voice for both hospitality and sales, and marketing management disciplines.

International Live Events Association (ILEA)

ILEA is a global community of thousands of creative event professionals whose skills, expertise, and experience power the most recognize and respected live events around the world. ILEA provides education and networking opportunities to advance the special events industry.
