Who we are
MESA is a Student Organization, in the Payne School of Hospitality. Our mission is to cultivate event planning skills, leadership abilities, and teamwork in an engaging and real-world context. As an organization we create fun events for our community in order to bring students together, as well as exercising Event Planning skills. Furthermore MESA encourages students to network with local Hospitality Professionals through our program called SPARC. We believe that with hands-on experience, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, we can empower our members to become future leaders in the meetings and events industry.

FAVORITE MEMORY:
"My favorite MESA memory was planning the Spring 2023 trip to New York City. It was a great opportunity to learn how to organize a trip of this size with my board members. I loved learning about the hospitality industry in a big city like New York and building connections with the top leaders of that market. Also, I loved the potlucks and group activities we did as a board. It was fun to spend time together outside of planning an event."

"Being apart of MESA allowed me to find a community within SDSU that shared the same passions and made such a large school feel smaller. My favorite memory was definitely our trip to NYC.
